The AERO celebrates its 30th anniversary

From April 17 to 20 this year, the AERO opened its doors for the 30th time to almost 31,500 visitors in Friedrichshafen. With 680 exhibitors from 36 countries, it is the largest trade fair for general aviation in Europe.

Exactly 30 years ago, in 1993, the AERO made its first appearance as an independent trade fair. At that time, it was still held in the former exhibition halls near the airport. Only since 2003 has the AERO been held every year in the specially built exhibition halls right next to the airport. It is the only trade fair in Europe where aircraft have direct access to the trade fair and can enter the exhibition halls through hall doors up to 20 meters wide. Logistically, it therefore offers optimum conditions for the transportation and loading of oversized and exclusive goods.

We have also been attending the event for 23 years and have looked after, planned and designed the exhibition stands of well-known companies from the global aviation industry. We started in 2001 with the management of two exhibition stands – an outdoor stand for Mooney Aircraft and an indoor stand for Rheinland Air Service GmbH.

In comparison, we now support a total of 12 exhibition stands in four exhibition halls with a total area of around 2,700 m² with our full range of services. This year, several hundred meters of trussing and spotlights as well as almost 50 displays of various sizes and two high-resolution LED walls were used. With a crew of over 30 members, the material was set up by 13 articulated lorries in just 8 days and dismantled again in 4 days.

The anticipation for the next AERO and the next 30 years is great!
